BRITISH TROOPS HELD BY IRAN

Everything related to politics in Cyprus and the rest of the world.

Aother question to think about, WHY was the INDIAN(or other national) boat and crew not arrested because they were going to Iraq (not Iran) with their cargo.

I get fed up with this crap about WMD, what contitutes a WOMD.
A plane with 200 people on board wiping out 3,000 people is certainly one of these.

And people - Snake isn't alone - we surely have to think how our image is conceived worldwide. Are we the "world police?" or merely interfereing. Thats what scares me. I was in London in the "lucky week" of 14th July - and its not nice to kiss your wife goodbye and wonder if you're coming back.

I do not condone any violence, and in my opinion we have created a new enemy through our foreign policy.

I almost lost a brother through the Birmingham IRA bombings of 74. We've almost sorted the Ireland situation out now - do we need more problems?

But Bear -before Labour(my party) got in, they were accused of supporting the Tories! They can't win. If you want to see REALLY biased reporting, try FOX News!!

ritchie ,

Dont make me laugh, 34 Billion £ what's got them talking. The Q yet has to be asked to and if the Loyalist would ever allow the Republic to take control of the North. Take it from me that will never happen without an almighty Armed response from the Loyalist side.

Yep -thats me - only one Baggieboy (well there's 20,000 but they're all down the pub!!).

Yes - again - fair point - but at least "officially" its nearly sorted. I'm not naive enough to think there won't be acts of violence in Ireland for years to come, but at least agreeing a constitution is a start. And come on - Gerry Adams and Ian Paisley appearing at the same table is at least a start!

Me? I'm a Bill and Ted activist! My religion is based on 5 words "Be excellent to each other.

ps Cricket not great - 145-4, but I still think we'll win!

Ritchie,

I like this one - Ireland has been invaded by Iran -I know - bear with me - then, just off the coast of Liverpool we spy Iranian boats. What would we do?

Easy that one, help the Iranians, reuel them and send them back over to Ireland.
