Tsunami in Cyprus

What do you think? Is there any possibility that something simular could ever happen to country such as Cyprus? :?:

As mentioned in the last similar post, Cyprus has already been hit by a number of tsunami's before, true .. nothing like what we saw in Asia. Cyprus lies close to the boundary between the Arabic/African and Eurasian plates, and an earthquake of high enough scale may well cause a similar scenario as in Asia, who knows :? Past tsunamis in Cyprus haven't been known to be as huge as the Asian tsunami, however Cyprus has seen some very powerful earthquakes before.

Earthquakes

If you go to the NASA website, it has loads of information. Basically where ever there is an eartquake there is a possibility of a tsunami. So if it happens to be big enough and usually abouve 9 on the scale it can happen or affect any costal area.

You can also search the most recent earthquakes, if I can remember rightly the last earthquake for Cyprus was on 13 December 2004. It is interesting and well worth a look, especially the ariel view of the earth.
