...and there was also 'Andres' and the tsiaki game (knife game).
The knife game a prcurser to 'Partition'? A square was drawn with the pen-knife into the soil. It was(the pen) thrown into the square. Where it penetrated the soil, a line was drawn and you selected a portion. Gradually the portions would get smaller and smaller, until you could no longer throw the knfe right.
From these games one graduated to 'Tavli/tavla/backgammon' rummy, 66, 21 and 'brefa'. It was all great fun. |
What about pilota? |

TC, Thanks a lot for this clip.
Last year I tried to describe this dance on the forum. I last saw it at a TC club in London (by GC ladies ofcourse). I find the demeanour or the ladies with hands on their hips and their heads at an angle in a modest way so sexy. I have watched this three times already.
Thanks again. The girls are lovely too. |
I agree, they're very graceful. You can tell those girls were handpicked. Not only are they a lovely shade of pearl but they're so, so, soooo beautiful.
They dealt a fatal blow to ALL other Cypriot dance videos on youtube imo. |

It was the sense sense of 'modesty' which does the trick. |

You’re welcome! If you need anything else just let me know...
Although my achievement has somewhat diminished now that two of the three videos have been made private….
You haven't by any chance been leaving nice comments again have you TC...? |

No! I made sure I didn't this time. I don't understand why they do that?
What's the point in uploading videos to youtube if you're not going to share them? |

Good good! You learnt your lesson then?
Well this case is pretty strange, it's like we're being teased. One minute we can watch and enjoy the videos, the next minute once we get comfortable, they get snatched away from us...Hmmm very strange...
Oh well, following the ‘pattern’ I've managed to decipher I'm pretty sure we'll get to watch them again...at some point... |

Yup.
Well next time it might be a good idea not to post them on the thread and instead send me links in a PM that self-destructs within 5 minutes of reading. |
