Hi,
I am on holiday in Cyprus, staying in Protaras. Me and my cousin went to a eat out, in Larnaca, a few days ago, at a restraunt called the Viale, opposite the America Academy. Im 17, nearly 18. A few minutes into our meal, this stunning Cypriot girl walked in with two older ladies, probably her mum.When I mean stunning I mean it. I could choose any women in the world, I would still choose her. She also looked down to earth, and despite her looks wasn't trying to attract attention. She was around 17-21, its hard to tell. As she walked in we made eye contact for about 3-5 seconds and she smiled at me. It was diffucult to approach her as im quite shy, but I was ready to, but I was holding back a bit, beacuse she was with two women, who looked over 50, so it would have been a bit arkward for her. I am also Greek- Cypriot but from London so I didn't have a problem with the language if her english wasn't good, but it probably would have been Ok.
At the end of my meal, I went to the toilet to wash my face and freshen up, as I was going to go and attempt to talk to her, and get her number or email address, but when I came back she had left.
I have dreamt about her the last two nights, and even rang the restaurent so see if they know her, or if she goes there regulary. I need to find here again. Im in Cyprus for another week and a half. I have checked the interntet( Modelling sites, Myspace...) but can't find her. How should have I approached the situation, when she was eating at a restraunt with two older women? Apart from going back to eat there, I have no chance in finding here now? Does anyone have any tips on how to find her? She is driving me crazy. |

you had your chance and you blew it mate, hard luck.... Just kidding.
Not much you could have done really in those circumstances unless you wanted to take a beating from 2 50 year olds.

ChrisDemetriou, welcome to the forum, so sorry to hear of your troubles, it puts me in mind of my own youth when I suffered a similar fate.
I think such things happen to most of us when we are young lions, not a lot of help I know but there is still something you could do.
Go to the restaurant personally and speak to the staff, there is a chance that they may know of the girl you seek and be able to help you.
In any case, you have demonstrated a certain quality in being able to express yourself as you have, that quality will serve you well throughout your life and I wish you the very best of luck as you travel through it, TOTAL RESPECT.  |

Chris, people your age are mostly interested in physical appearances so it’s easy to have a “crush” on somebody as there are many young beautiful people. However, as the years go by you’ll probably think less and less of that aspect of human beings and concentrate more on the mental side of the person as you realize that beauty is only skin deep.
Had she not smiled at you I’m sure the effect on you would’ve been much less but she did and you probably interpret that as “I really like you too and we should be together”!
Of course there is no guarantee that a smile means anything more than the most basic of social gestures so be careful about how you interpret it. There are millions of beautiful girls out there Chris and you will probably ever meet only a fraction of them…
Anyway, my advice is to let it go and if you happen to cross paths with her again then that’s fine and if not then such is life! Just avoid getting tied down emotionally too much because nobody is worth too much hassle anyway.

| try get out and about go to beaches go around maybe you will see her again before you leave... you never know your luck.. if she is staying or maybe she is even from protaras.. you never know |

Chris, from what you tell us, it looks like she is also visiting Cyprus like yourself. She could even be living in the UK. Usually a girl of that age would be going out with her friends at night. She is probably visiting Cyprus with her mother and went out to dinner with her aunt. If it was me, I would be searching for her in the Aradhipou area.
