A FAIR SOLUTION OF CYPRUS PROBLEM

Postby EPSILON » Sat Aug 04, 2007 11:41 am

In the begining was a fair, workable,in line with UN resolutions
Then became a workable in line with UN resolutions
Then it was just in line with UN resolutions
Finally became the one sided prepared Annan plan
In future maybe will be an Ankara's General plan, who knows.

All people, citizens of the Island maybe have in mind still a fair solution .

OK What a fair solution is?

lets say that we are Pakistanis without personal interest on Cyprus problem.
Lets say that no Geopolitical needs or military power is been taken into considertion.

Lets say that the only thing we know is that there is an Island with 80 per cent Greeks and 20 per cent Turks.

Lets all thing whether the following would be a fair solution.

-One state with a democratic system where all citizens have the same protected rights of education/religion/language/state attendance
-All citizens have one vote without vetos and complecated other terms
-A NATO force excluding Greek and Turkish army to gurantee the rights of all citizens

Personally i believe that any other solution is not fair and most important will be not workable

Of course the parties who are deciding ae not Pakistanis and therefore such a solution can not be proposed

As you put it 80/20 never again full agree but one person = one vote is looks very European for us?

Can you imagine in States Latins to have double vote and several vetos?
