Hi All
Im very interested in the MMA group in Akrotiri/Limassol that ViperMMA mentioned in a previous post.
Tried to PM him but it was not functioning.

Sorry gents, totally forgot about this post.... I was teaching MMA at Akrotiri RAF base on tuesdays and thursday nights but due to lack of interest I stopped and started to concentrate on my own training.
The only gym I know on island that concentrates on MMA is in Larnaca:

They have recently showcased their first professional MMA fight to the audience of Cyprus and I think it went down pretty well, wether that is due to being a local show with the local lad fighting is yet to be seen but they are looking to host more shows next year so time will tell.
For training stand up here in Limassol, you could try any of the many Thai boxing gyms, I use Lumpinee. For ground work there is always Cyprus Gracie Barra, they also train No Gi but mainly Gi.
As far as open mats etc, chances are the above mentioned gym is the only one able to offer you what you are used to in the UK, it is still a relatively young sport out here, much like the late 90's early 2000's in the UK.
