| Footballers wages are worth every penny. Career wise if you get ten years your lucky. From the age of 7 we had to travel three times a week, 30 miles, to train till I was 16 where I went full time, and moved away from home. Whats the difference between footballers and singers, or celebrities. Footballers work very very hard, and despite being one of the most wanted jobs, its one of the hardest. Rarely get a day off to see family. There is a lot of money in football, due to tv rights and sponsors, so why shouldn't we get paid. Your opinion is a joke. |
i agree chris ...but think about the fact U.K has better oportunties ...

The average for top teams full time professional footballers is 30-40K CYP a year.
This can go up to 100K CYP for foreign stars however.
Basically a weekly wage in the Premiership translates as a yearly wage in the top flight here |
BRO ..are you sure about this ,...my uncle is the manger of anorthosis and he said 12k is average per year and some earn a bit more ...but he payes £18-25k a year ... i cant see a cyp team paying £100k cyp ... |
Your family must be HUGE........... |

Cheers Highlander. My mates uncle is the new director of football at Ael Limmasol. Peter Theo.
Im currently on 800-1000 a week depending on how many matches I play in a week. I know living in Cyprus, is alot cheaper, but is what im on now, similar to what I would be getting, playing for a top club. Bit suprised to be honest, as Stevenage is a conference team, but fed up with this shit country. |
Peter Theo Vasiliou is not going to be the owner of AEL after all.

Also living in Cyprus is not that cheap nowadays |

You must be F***Ing kidding me...anorthosis is the No3 ranked club on the island. 19 championships by Apoel and 10-11 by anorthosis. You rank 3rd behind Omonoia.
If you wanna play on number of supporters then we have 5,200 season tickets against 3,000 from anorthosis. We average 10,000 per game when your 5 old men and a kid (the Mathites) average a crowd of 6.
Ate re pouthame.
P.S on wages, the top Cypriots in Apoel get between 80k and 120k while the top earner is on 200k (Ze Carlos). |
