Primetel and Internet.

Postby Ruserious » Tue Sep 04, 2007 2:26 pm

Guys,

I am seriously considering moving over to Primtel as my current setup is costing me a fortune (CYTA/NETWAY/CABLENET/NOVA GR). 80CYP per month.....

Their terms and conditions state that they can limit your downloads if they feel you have gone over your 'limit'. Just spoke with them and they now say that they do not filter/block/limit traffic.

I am happy with Netway and I am reluctant to change if filtering or limits are in place. Does anyone have any experience with Primtel ADSL?

Cheers.

Why do you need netway and cablenet and nova gr? With just cablenet you can get internet and tv. If you have Nova GR to get the Greek channels those will not be on Primetel anyways. If you want you can move to Primetel and stay with Netway as your ISP. You will be paying one bill just to Netway this way for Telephone + internet + tv.

I will probably be sticking with Nova GR - for the Premiership (even though a dreambox is very tempting at only 5CYP per month!)

If I switch to Primetel for ADSL/phone and get rid of Cablenet (used only for BBC prime) I can save 25CYP a month - just need to know what ADSL is like over primetel?

I think Primetel is ok, but probably Netway is better. Just go with Netway if you are happy with them http://www.netway.com.cy/index.php?cat=63 you will get the same TV channels.
