I visited at the end of October last year.
I left a very cold , wet and windy London to be greeted with a wet and windy Cyprus on arrival ~ the on / off rain and high winds continued for most of my stay BUT it was a lot warmer that the UK until late evening when it was bloody freezing .
Good job I wasn't really on holiday just to sort out a bit of business ~~ even that was fraught with disaster as I got stuck on a flooded road and was late for a appointment .
BUT I have visited at similar times in other years and the weather has been perfect ~ even got up to 24 degs on Christmas day a few years ago

Oh well. It appears that I'll just have to hope for the best! I was expecting to have a couple of cloudy days, not 2 weeks of tropical storms followed by frostbite at night!!
Still, it's better than being at work!! |

I'm not winging (honest)!! But this holiday is costing me £2200 And I don't want to spend 2 weeks shivering and getting the silent treatment from my wife & daughter!!!
I managed to find a website that gives a day by day breakdown of the weather in Cyprus for October 2006. I don't know where and when the famous storms occurred, but for the 2 weeks commencing the 21st, temperatures varied between 25 - 28 degrees with only a few drops of rain.
So hopefully I've got nothing to worry about! |

| sorry mate, i was being abit of a smart alec. but I do believe that we all place limits on everything, in any case it will be warmer than london. so your ahead already. 25-28 though sounds a bit over the average in the last two weeks it has been around 20 from what I have read, so should I not bring my thermals then is that the local advice? |

That's ok 'humanist'. No offence taken. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
As you say, it will be warmer than London and I can always knock back a few brandy sours if it's chilly at night!!! |

Hi
Weather in October is USUALLY warm (mid 20's) and sunny - I say usually as last Oct it rained for 3 weeks as we had the worst storms in 100 years!
Can't see that happening 2 years in a row although we had a spectacular light storm and heavy rain 2 nights ago.
See the website below for what the weather is really like in Cyprus during all the key seasons. It also has a by month average rain/sunshine section.
Enjoy your holiday!
