Look at Africa, how many problems are there? On a monthly basis they have experienced ethnic cleansing, look at Liberia and Sierra Leon for this. Now, all Cyprus needs is a new leader, one that can see a future and isn't going to stale on this subject, the same goes for the TC side.

Still, 1974 was a while back in the past, how can a country look to move into the future when it is stuck on a past. I know it was a horrid thing that happened but dwelling and constantly fighting with one another, ain't going to get anwhere, is it?

Beth for gods sake get out of the Cyprus Prob pages....you're gonna have the baby while reading about Denktash and Papadopoulos.

Quite right she should be concerned about the Cyprus problem at such a time. Having a baby is NOT about burying your head in the sand. She should discuss her concerns and do her bit to make the world a better place.

Well done Beth_ Josephine . . . those last few months waiting can get pretty boring eh?

God! You guys will do anything to get rid of anyone that talks sense

Which is precisely why you're STILL around Zan.
Keep up the nonsense ...

Dont expect great things from this woman she is my local MP, and is not held in great esteem by her constituents, just another Government mouthpiece, her claim to fame this year is she has managed to spend the most money on her expenses out of the 200 odd MPs we have. she cant even save our local A+E let alone sort the problem out that you lot have.

Zan
Have you approached your president and asked if he will accept the Zurich agreement in its full and unadulterated state before you offer it to us Humanist. Let me know what he says will you....

Zan The president of Cyprus has received several correspondence from me in the past year or so. Expressing my disapointments and congratulations about certain actions undertaken by the RoC.

Have no doubt that I have spoken.

On this isuue I will refer you back to Talat. If that is what Talat's administration wants. He can express his wishes to Joan and she can pass themm on. Then if my President refuses to acceopt this as an offer then he will hear from me.

Britian’s Special Representative for Cyprus Joan Ryan has arrived in Cyprus for talks with the two sides on the island.
Ms Ryan :a solution must be found to the Cyprus problem by the end of 2008.
she stated that the 8-July agreement was the only way forward towards achieving a solution in Cyprus, a position, which she said, was supported both by the UN Security Council and Britain.

Noting that she would not act as a mediator and that she would not be bringing a new plan, Ms Ryan said that her country was ready to do all it can to support the UN peace process in Cyprus.

gee weez thanx Joan. That's a hard try on your behalf and that of your country.
