Getting the councils to clean up is not the only problem.
Its educating the idiots who do the dumping and throwing cans and cigarette packets out of car windows.A lot of them are locals but thats not the point because it shows disrespect. I wonder if they teach how to respect your country in schools ? Even the parents should do their bit. |

Some one has to teach the parents of not disposing the garbage in this fashion first.
The authorities should also provide proper garbage management so that the people do not have the use these methods anymore. But i believe they are still resting on cloud 9. |

I seem to be having a problem accessing this. Any reason?
I am hashing tomorrow, so I will endeavour to take my camera with me. I and fellow 'hashers' are always appalled by the debris that spoils this lovely countryside. It is not just household rubbish either, we often come across the old, decaying dog or sheep etc. Once we even came across an old dead horse. Disgusting, and the smell, well it was indescribable!

You shouldn't have any trouble accessing the site!
Try again.
If you want to send me any "fresh" trash photos you are welcome. |

| What happened to the initiative announced on the RIK news about recycling? They said that all garbage would be picked up and recycled appropriately. With the price of scrap on the international market it would also bring in some money, a car engine block contains 50kg of aluminum, that is a lot of money. |

A lot of asses have to be kicked not only in the local councils but also the in the E.U. Ivory Towers .So help is needed in this kicking-asses action.
Still the authorities reaction is mixed ; they clean some of the large items/garbage leaving the small ones behind.
Anyway there is new update: http://dailytrash.fotopic.net/ |
