I came across this website that provides emergency information and contact addresses for major tourist destinations.
There is a leaflet available for Cyprus although this one only covers Larnaca:

Good idea for those planning independent travel rather than with a travel company.
Maybe there will be some more on other parts of Cyprus? |

| It is good to have this information at your fingertips, but let us not alarm potential visitors too much, either. Cyprus is a very stable, safe country and the emergency services work well. I don't think the vast majority of independent travellers are likely to face any kind of problem. |
