Does anyone live near or in akrotiri as i have NEVER lived there before and everything is new!
Any friendly advice or a chance to make friends before i get over there would be great! |

From the gates of Aki to the Aki strip (loads of pubs and restaurants) is a 2 minute drive. What is it you want to know? The bases are generally self contained so everything you need is at hand so to speak. Epi base is not too far away, neither are the neighbouring villages,Do not know that much about the villages but will help if I can...............

Just anything there is to know!
like decent pubs, places to socialse! and everything, just want to make sure i'm going to be happy kinda thing?!

Though I have never been I have heard that Ryan's restuarant is very good and very popular with forces personnel. Believe it is the first restaurant outside the gates.
There are quite a few pubs along the strip - bit too far for me to visit!
There are one or two pubs in Epi and Erimi villages and another regular haunt for the bases is 'Michael's' in Erimi. He does a brilliant meze - no good if you are vegetarian though!!!!!!
Along the strip of Limassol - more pubs, restaurants and the nightclubs. You had better join the gym when you arrive!!
Sure you will have a good time while you are here. You just have to make the best of it
