Turkish Cypriot daily Halkin Sesi newspaper 01.02.08 refers to the same issue and reports that Mr Avci addressed a meeting at the House of Lords organized by Lord Magginis.

The paper notes: Turgay Avci for the first time spoke with the capacity of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the TRNC at the House of Lords. The fact that on the table where Foreign Minister Avci was speaking the flags of the TRNC and Britain were together drew attention.

2008 it just gets better and better Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

and u hear people say there is no such place as the TRNC, wake up and smell the coffee Laughing Laughing Laughing

That is good news. If nothing else, it is at the very least recognition of a distinct community of Cyprus. The TRNC flag is a nice touch...

Organized by Lord Maginis !! A protestant prick who hates the Irish and thinks that all Irish ,Catholics that is , should be annihilated !!
What an honour for the "TRNC" !!
As for the arch foreigner with a Christian name , what the hell is he getting involved with matters concerning Cypriots , should he not enlist in the Turkish army and fight the Kurds ?? Go on son show them what Paul boy can do !!

Miltiades,I am a Protestant myself.Statements like that are an extremely ignorant stereotype. The Irish Catholics are not well-liked,even out here, they're not liked, because the Republic of Ireland is full of racist shite.

The 'TRNC' is just a figment of Rauf Denktash's imagination as well as the imagination of the Turkish government.

Congratulations Paul, I recon in about 30 years you'll get recognized and then in another 10 you'll have the "TRNC" flag outside the UN, and then in another… oh hang on you’ll be dead by then! Laughing

Paaul12,you should try flying the 'TRNC' flag in southern Cyprus & the Cypriot flag up in the 'TRNC' & see what happens.
