Imagine that you have to live your entire life in a place like this, hehe.

Go to Canada bro', much better than Oz! (if a little more chilly during wintertime!)

Canada is a cold hole, and Canadians are very rude! The best country without a doubt is the US........I would live there anyday, especially Miami = paradise!!!

Cyprus is quite pretty to look at (some of it anyway) and the weather is nice but it is nothing compared to Miami. The standard of living for one thing here is very low, the Yanks wouldn't put up with half the bullsh*t in this place.

The UK is okay, but it's over taxed and also a cold hole.

No disrespect to you opinion and i knw mine doesnt count for much but im afriad i disagree. although Cyprus is not so technologically advanced as say, uk or Aus or the Us or canda even but i find the way of life much better from where i live in the UK. here no-one has time for the important things in life like family, and health, they dont enjoy life! the poeple of Cyprus have a kind of respect that ive seen no-where in the world and i think that the fact that the standards or living are 'low' that every1 that goes there falls in love with it. if it was as advanced as england then the people would ahve the same attitude. therefore i think the 'low standards' make the country better!!!
(in no way meaning any offence to anyone!! merely oicing my opinion) also ive never been to miama or Aus or canada so you could well be right!

sorry i went on a bit!

Webbie, I've been to Miami and to several other US cities. Every place has its positive and negative aspects. There are areas in the US which are very poor, maybe you missed those.

Also, in the US 8 out of 10 towns of comparable size with our towns (100-200 thousand) are practically dead. For our size we are not that bad.

Having been to Mississippi and Tennessee, I'd back up that comment. Some of the conditions in the rural US are like being in Africa, the disparity in wealth betwen a place like Nashville and a small community 20 miles outside town is truly shocking.

Did I mention MS or TN????

NO!

So, Moose, keep your sneb out unless you have something relative to say!

Also, for anybody who thinks Cyprus is better than Miami - hahaha!

In your dreams! Let me think of just a few examples as to why Miami (for one of hundreds of US cities) is far better than Cyprus

1. Cost of living is much lower in Miami
2. People in Miami are much friendlier.
3. Roads in Miami are far superior to the pot-hole ridden dirt tracks here.
4. Houses/apartments are bigger and better quality than what they throw up over here. Oh, and cheaper too.
5. Beaches in Miami are out of this world, unlike the shambles here.
6. Cars in Miami-cheaper and better than the squibs people here drive.
7. Standard of living in Miami is worlds apart from Cyprus.
8. Things to do......you are never bored in Miami, unlike here, where if you don't drink coffee, you are screwed for something to do.

Need I say more??

Don't think so.

And don't start boring me with facts about low crime here, blah blah blah

Who's intersted, give it time here and the crime rates will soon be higher - except the standard of living will still be low low low.

Sure if youre white trailer park trash

2. People in Miami are much friendlier.

thats subjective (ie coming from you a bunch of crap)

3. Roads in Miami are far superior to the pot-hole ridden dirt tracks here.
4. Houses/apartments are bigger and better quality than what they throw up over here. Oh, and cheaper too.

for the many CYprus gots its not bad. and houses in miami are definitely cheaper. have you done your research lately?

5. Beaches in Miami are out of this world, unlike the shambles here.

Are you insane? The best beach youll find in Miami is equivalent to that of FOINIKOUES! at least foinikoues doenst have sharks though.

....
8. Things to do......you are never bored in Miami, unlike here, where if you don't drink coffee, you are screwed for something to do.

and whats tehre to do in miami? head to the mall or the movies? or maybe plan a trip to disneyworld?

at least in cyprus you can drink past the time of 4 am ;)

When were you actaully last in Cyprus?

If you think the beach in Larnaca is anything like South Beach, Miami - you are either way out of touch, blind or just insane!

As for the cost of living in Miami, you don't have to be trailer trash to have a good quality of life there - but perhaps being trailer trash yourself, it's all you've ever experienced. hahahahaha

Last but not least, proving how out of touch you really are with the Cyprus way of life (and I use the term loosly) - the 4am licence for clubs has been changed to 3am, so get it right up ye!!!!!

if the license for clubs has been indeed changed to 3 am then yes that is as sad as being in the states.

and yes i am trailer trash you got me on that one. if you like miami so much go live there. or better yet find a pretentious south beach forum to discuss your infatuation with a bland city.

as far as property value the average condo sold in miami was 471,000 USD...
