Hello again
Here is a picture I personally took in the supermarket.
I hope everybody can read
GAZI Halloumi
What do you have to say now? |
LOL i would say thats some serious dedication brother well done
However i still don't see the problem since you cant OWN a TYPE of cheese, that's like us patenting "feta cheese" and hellim belongs to Cyprus which includes the Turkish Cypriots. However i believe Gazi is owned by some backward religious Turks from Turkey and their products are not worth pissing on, probably the worst hellim you can find. I remember trying their feta cheese and it was almost as bad as the ones called "Greek feta".
But since they are selling it all over the EU already it means there are clearly no legal issues as you would like to portray, don't you think? So what is the problem? |

Recently I wanted to buy some "Cam Sakizi" (Cham SakIzI) and looked at the back, it had "Made in Greece" with the TURKISH NAME "Cam Sakizi" written on it in TURKISH?
Have they stolen this product as well as the Turkish language now?

Kurupetos, I don't know were you are trying to with this argument. As far as I understand they are the word "Haloumi" as the turkish word "Helim" which is exactly the same anyway! |

Authentic in this case, as in loukoumi and kataif, means we stole it from the Arabs first, so you lot lay your thieving hands off "our" property.
Bulgur wheat and baclava are ours. They are documented in Byzantine recipes since the 8the century. So lay off those too.
Soon we will be patenting koupes, babaganoush, moussaka, before the Arabs wake up and stop us all. |
