Bored Bill .... |
Hmm, so am I ~ bored with your insane hatred of anything or anyone north of the checkpoints.
Although I am a life member of the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair I have never been into a casino in the north unlike your Greek Cypriot compatriots who seem to want to flock there every weekend ~ obviously they don't treasure the same ideals you do or for that matter the same hatred
Bill ~~ Someone who would like to see a fair and just solution to the Cyprus problem ~ for both sides |
Cyprus is not so desperate for your brand of support Bill ....
Just carry on enjoying yourself, and don't worry your pretty little head about anything ....

Cyprus is desperate for any ones brand of support at the moment ~ even from English Cypriots like you.
A Cypriot friend ( note I said friend ) in Limassol hates with a vengeance four types of immigrant to Cyprus ~ first on the hate list is the British ~ then the English Cypriots closely followed by the Turkish settlers and Pontian Greeks ~ as luck would have it I don't ( in his eyes ) fall into any of the named categories
Just think with the flood gates open to all EU members it won't be long before you as a Cypriot become a minority ~ I wonder how many Western (British) and Eastern Europeans Cyprus can hold before sinking

Sure will my dear ~ Hmm "pretty little head" your compliments are getting better and I really don't deserve them ~ in fact the last time I was told that was the first time I sat on a camel as a very small boy.
After a long association with Cyprus I have no doubt that I will now continue to enjoy this beautiful island on a permanent basis.
I just wish I didn't have to return to the good old UK so often to pick up my unemployment benefit ~ but then again the UK has always been a soft touch ~ ultimately leading to it's eventual downfall .
Sleep well and sweet dreams of a Turk free Cyprus my dearest ~ but just remember every thing isn't as rosy in the Cyprus garden as you might think.

Hi all
We are coming to Cyprus for a holiday at the end of March/Begining of April We hope to visit Larnaca, Paphos, Nicosia (is the spelling correct), Lemytou/Marathasa and possibly the North (to get some snide gear).
Any tips would be useful |
Hi RichardB, what kind of advice is it you are looking for? Can your travel agent help?

I don't know what a "holpday" might entail .... equally "snide gear" ... but if you are visiting the north whilst it is under Turkish occupation, I suggest you look elsewhere, like a home for the criminally insane .... |
So are you saying that nobody should go to the north and even more importantly that you would frown on someone like me going there.
Are you so consumed with your hatred
Didn't your mum ever tell you how well everybody got on with each other before the troubles ~ well in the villages anyway
I wonder how many traitors are gambling at the casino's this weekend
Bill ~~~ probably going north next week |
Bill, afraid that I have no adverbs as good as Phoenix to describe you, sorry!
Don't you just get sick of her rantings though. Such hatred can not be good for the health - so is that good or bad?!
Trip to the North! Only been once in all my time on this island so maybe time for another visit! Maybe get a coach trip and visit the casinos, yes??

btw, still to start the book |

Hi Bubbles
I dont really need any help to be honest.
I lived on the Island for many years And my wife and I own property in Nicosia and Troodos.
We still manage to get over for 2-3 months a year when work allows.
I just wanted to see how long it was before someone 'bit' at the posting and it didnt take too long.
Mind I think some of the longer serving members must have realised it was a wind up and kept out of it |

Hi Richard! If you come to the North, will it be as a "day tripper" or for a couple of days? I can certainly recommend some nice places for you to visit........
With regards "snide gear" you surely don't suggest that my chanel handbag costing 25tl (£10) is not genuine? - Have I been conned
Tess
P.S. Just watched "there will be blood" the new Daniel Day Lewis film on DVD, excellent picture and sound, and only 5tl (£2) |

Cheers RichardB, just as well I possess a GSOH and can take a joke! Have to admit that I did not notice where you lived either! I was just intent on trying to help! Will keep any eye out in the future!
Enjoy your holiday anyway.

Perhaps we should organise a forum day out ~ now wouldn't that be fun
We would have to find out where Oracle lives first though ~ wouldn't want the bus stoned or high jacked enroute
