Hi all
We are coming to Cyprus for a holiday at the end of March/Begining of April We hope to visit Larnaca, Paphos, Nicosia (is the spelling correct), Lemytou/Marathasa and possibly the North (to get some snide gear).
Any tips would be useful |
Hi RichardB, what kind of advice is it you are looking for? Can your travel agent help?

Hi Bubbles
I dont really need any help to be honest.
I lived on the Island for many years And my wife and I own property in Nicosia and Troodos.
We still manage to get over for 2-3 months a year when work allows.
I just wanted to see how long it was before someone 'bit' at the posting and it didnt take too long.
Mind I think some of the longer serving members must have realised it was a wind up and kept out of it |
Cheers RichardB, just as well I possess a GSOH and can take a joke! Have to admit that I did not notice where you lived either! I was just intent on trying to help! Will keep any eye out in the future!
Enjoy your holiday anyway.

Well I fell for it, hook, line and sinker!!! |
That's because we are such good and pleasant people Tess. Some like Tortoise would say gullible but we know otherwise!

Hi Richard! If you come to the North, will it be as a "day tripper" or for a couple of days? I can certainly recommend some nice places for you to visit........
With regards "snide gear" you surely don't suggest that my chanel handbag costing 25tl (£10) is not genuine? - Have I been conned
Tess
P.S. Just watched "there will be blood" the new Daniel Day Lewis film on DVD, excellent picture and sound, and only 5tl (£2) |
I would never suggest that Tess
Just as my Gstar jeans, Versace tops, etc etc are also authentic I know this to be true cos the man in the shop told me so
I wonder how all those pretty 20 somethings in the ROC can afford to dress in designer togs as well on the poor wages that are paid?. As we all know no one would dream of purchasing goods from the 'dark' side.
I usually just cross over for a few hours, have a mooch round and sit in the cafe at the top end of the bazaar for a kebab and a couple of beers.
Nothing against staying over ... just never had a reason to |
