Hi all
We are coming to Cyprus for a holiday at the end of March/Begining of April We hope to visit Larnaca, Paphos, Nicosia (is the spelling correct), Lemytou/Marathasa and possibly the North (to get some snide gear).
Any tips would be useful |

| I don't know what a "holpday" might entail .... equally "snide gear" ... but if you are visiting the north whilst it is under Turkish occupation, I suggest you look elsewhere, like a home for the criminally insane .... |

So are you saying that nobody should go to the north  and even more importantly that you would frown on someone like me going there.

Didn't your mum ever tell you how well everybody got on with each other before the troubles ~ well in the villages anyway 
I wonder how many traitors are gambling at the casino's this weekend

Well I've been called some things during my life but never a Insular, self-obsessed airhead bimbo and I must thank you for being the first.
You are so consumed with hate that you can only see negative reasons based on your presumptions .
One thing you need to learn and as you are a scientific type of person ( so you tell us ) I would have thought would be ingrained in your mind and that's you should never presume or assume anything ~ for all you know I might even be Greek or horror of horrors for you Turkish
So lets get this straight ~ you are chastising me without having the decency to inquire the reason for my visit to the north whilst you fail to answer my comment about the hundreds of Greek Cypriots crossing over to spend ( and how they spend ) their money at the casino's every weekend.
So blinded are you with this consuming hate that you can't see any other reason for my visit to the north than jumping in bed with your perceived enemy ~ mind you I wouldn't mind as most Turkish girls are very pretty.
As I said did your mother not tell you how well the two communities got on with each other before the problems or how TC's are often welcomed in GC homes in the south and GC's equally welcome in the north ~ mind you I'm talking of reasonable people now and obviously not someone like you and one or to of the other posters on this forum.
That home ( for the insane ) you speak of is only a short step away considering the vile posts you have made under your various guises ( personality struggle ? )recently ~ you are living in a strange personal world and you really need to get a grip and find out more than you obviously profess to ~ there are always two sides to a story and this one isn't without blame on either side.
If your argument is with the occupation, the huge influx of settlers and the 40,000 Turkish troops still on the island then I could agree with you but your total and absolute hatred leaves you badly flawed and can see that there will never be any kind of solution whilst your kind spout out your hatred to everyone whether they want to listen or not.
I'm certainly not looking for your approval if I want to visit the north to be honest it's none of your or anybody else's business except mine as my conscience is clear.

Oh ~ I can't actually remember posting any kind of anti GC vile or for that matter anti TC comments either ~ I'm not a Cypriot of either flavour so I don't take sides but I do look at the posts concerning the Cyprus problem and often shake my head in disbelief ~ especially with your posts.

| You go and enjoy yourself.Thousands of Greek Cypriots go to the North every month.Not to see relatives or visit lost homes.They go to gamble,stay in hotels,drink,eat relax.Cypriot companies are linked to some business in the North and on mainland Turkey,take no notice of immature posters,go and enjoy. |

Hmm, so am I ~ bored with your insane hatred of anything or anyone north of the checkpoints.
Although I am a life member of the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair I have never been into a casino in the north unlike your Greek Cypriot compatriots who seem to want to flock there every weekend ~ obviously they don't treasure the same ideals you do or for that matter the same hatred
