OUCH!!
I was considering coming back to Cyprus for my daughter's education.
As a comparison, I have a 200 square metres house and I also rent a one
bedroomed condo in Bangkok (work); total quarterly electric bills are less
than €150.
Of little comfort to you I'm sure but enlightening for me - I'm staying here. |

You’ve made a decision on your daughter’s education on one electricity bill? Well done you! |

Yes, I cannot afford to live in Cyprus given the rising costs - borne out by those who live there.
It's cheaper for me to send her to an International school in Bangkok than move to Cyprus.
I don't have a bottomless pit of cash so if you factor in the cost of renting a house etc. you might understand.
When I last lived in Cyprus, pre Euro entry, I could afford to.
Now, I cannot and it's not a decision based solely upon one electricity bill. |
