The airline I work for gives a fuck. We would not land there if we had all 4 engines on fire. We would prefer Larnaca or Pafos. We would not want to jeopardise the safety of our passengers by landing at a safety substandard airport. Our insurance policies will not even cover any operations to this illegal airport. |
Thats a load of bollox...we all know the reason airlines avoid Ercan is political..As far as safety standards go,your Larnaca doesn't have anything over Ercan..
You would be surprised if you ever came and had a look with your own eyes instead of listening to the crap propaganda you guys generate. |

Take a good look at the world class facilities being built at Larnaca, Iceman.

I think it is Ercan airport that does not meet safety standards. Besides, that is not really the issue. The issue is that it is an illegal airport built on stolen GC land by an occupation army that illegally invaded the soveriegn nation of Cyprus.
ERCAN airport is internationally outlawed as an aerodrome. It does not exist on our airline navigation charts or our airlines Flight Management Computer (FMS) navigational database. It is not mentioned on Jeppesen Aeronautical Enroute Charts or Airways Manuals because it is illegal.
The only airlines that operate into ERCAN are Turkish companies, and one charter from Uzbekistan for crying out loud. No self respecting airline would ever contemplate landing at ERCAN because it is substandard and illegal.
And by substandard, I mean it has not satisfied ICAO safety standards. And the airspace above ERCAN belongs to NICOSIA FIR. |

| We all know the reason for Ercan being called an Illegal airport is purely political so cut the crap about safety. It ain't the duty of any int. body to name a airport as illegal or legal. The only reason why GC's claim it is illegal is because they are recognised as the only official gov. on the island. Ercan in a way is still recognised wherever you are in the world on any journey bound to Ercan you always get the ECN airport code straped to your luggage. |

All is not lost umit .... I am working on the hypothesis that Turks could be made less Turkish ..... maybe even become Cypriots or even Greeks if they wish .... with a little Conversion Curing Therapy.
Have I managed to convince all you racists that there is only one race? ... the Human Race ... that genetically we are homogeneous ... only being different at the individual level (which is a good thing  ).
