BTW its better to write kori not gori which means girl !

How are you ? = Ti Kanis ?
How much does it cost? = Posa stihizi ? ( i = e and h like hat)
This is very expensive ? = Ine poli akrivo

Its not an easy language . you need years to follow .

Maybe cypriot Laughing Laughing Being in Cyprus is dificult for anyone to learn proper original Greek language.

Vocabulary
The Modern Cypriot lexicon contains loanwords mostly from Italian, Provençal, Turkish and English, and other languages, as well as words unique to Cyprus. Thus typically non Muslim speakers use standard Muslim expressions such as i(n)shalla(h) or mashalla(h) which have become part of the vocabulary.
The Cypriot lexicon also contains Ancient Greek vocabulary which is no longer used in Standard Greek. Example: Συντυχάννω/λαλώ (talk).

you are correct Mihalis with h (hat) sounds better. Smile

So with the Cypriot teaching you wont be able to help much Bubbles if she already start the proper Greek she will get confused. Laughing Laughing

Confused Embarassed Always confused kori mou! (Sorry michali, I do not like this way of spelling 'gori'!)

I want to be able to converse in Cypriot but write in Greek! Wink Wink

The Cypriot as you say have strong accent . The strongest one is in Paphos.
Are you registered in any colege that teach Greek for foreigners?
the best think to do is to learn from a Cypriot student that studied English literature so you can communicate effectively without problems in communication.

As Deniz said the Cypriot language have unique expressions and words that can not be found in Greek Dictionary. All the above I wrote were Greek translations
