Personally, I would go to the border from the TC side, walk over and go by a shared taxi (Travel Express) to Lemesos. It'll probably be the most reliable method.

İ have looked at maps and İ can't find lemosos ... Sorry, İ have little knowledge of Cyprus geography...How long do you think it will take to get to Limmasol?? and how much would we expect to pay for transport from Nicosia to Limmasol? .. Sorry for all the questions.

Lemesos will probably be Limassol on the map. Its about an hours drive, maybe just under. I wouldn't be able to tell you the cost unfortunately. I honestly wouldn't have a clue.

Limassol is at the bottom middle of the map.

Further to the questions already posted would an EU citizen entering from the North have any problems crossing the green line with a TRNC stamp in their passport? Does anyone have any experience of this. The person I called at the Rep of Cyprus High Commission in London suggested that there would not be any problem. But can anyone confirm with experience?

I might be paranoid but I have experience of the Indian High Commission telling me one thing but then later telling me that my visa was cancelled.

Hi bagold

I urge caution; the Border Police can be a law unto themselves and if you catch them on a bad day. Forgive my indelicay, but if you have a dark skin, you will be treated with further suspicion here.
