The four seasons has been refurbished recently and all bedrooms have double jacuzzi baths and very comfortable beds.
I have to agree about the star ratings of the hotels in cyprus they do not seem on par with european hotels.

I would rather stay in Lania, or my village close by...by the way the Meze at the Lania Tavern is not as good as it used to be.

Yes, I love Lania aswell.
The Lania taverna`s food did used to be better than it is now, new owners I believe.
Androulla`s next door has very good food.

Le Meridien, Anassa, Elysium, Columbia resort and Intercontinental are the only real 5 stars in my opinion.

I lived in the Four Seasons for over a month this year in Feb./March as I was waiting for my office and residence to finish up with renovations. Good service and very good food - best buffet breakfast I've had in Europe outside of the Cafe de la Paix at the Intercont Grand Hotel in Paris. Very good bathrooms - nice big jacuzzi in a standard room which will easily fit two. Good linen service - lots of towels which get used on lounge chairs at the beach, inddor or outdoor pool, etc.

Now buffet breakfast. Try the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw. Wow, champagne, smoked salmon, caviar, if the have not got it ask and they will get it.

Ive stayed at the Le Meridien and the Anassa and would rate the Four Seasons above both of them. I would still only rate the Four Seasons as a 4* though.

I asked staff on reception at the Four Seasons if there was anywhere my other half could get a comb from as she had forgotten hers. They said no, there is a shop that sells them but it's closed, Sorry. Now if you asked the same question in a British 5*, they would have one (usually one in the room anyway) and if they didn't, they would send a member of staff out to find you one. That's the difference.
