I dunno. Half an hours drive into Troodos and I can get that winter wonderland any time I want for months. Last year about this time we did that and it makes your pictures look like summertime (here, not UK). 
Saying that, my girlfriend (in UK at the minute) sent me an MMS from her back garden yesterday. Looked pretty cold...
