Are you TC or foreigner?
If you are the second, then I hope the property you bought was not one stolen from us by the Turks during the invasion of my country. |

Piratis, this isn't the Cyprus problem section of the forum, therefore comments like that really aren't necessary here...
I appreciate your concerns, but you shouldn't hassle new posters like that, particularly when her question has nothing whatsoever to do with politics. |

Crimes are politics? I don't think so.
I just wanted to make sure this person is not one of those criminals that go and buy our land. If this he/she is then he/she is not welcomed here (and this is not my opinion, these are the forum rules) |

So if someone lives on a previously GC owned house or land, he/she cannot participate in the forum? Where does it say that? Where does it say that anyone who occupies a previously GC owned house/land is a criminal automatically? |

One thing is if you are a TC and you live in GC property out of necessity until the Cyprus problem is solved, and another thing is to be a foreigner that comes to Cyprus to buy stolen property. |

It's nice to see that you now understand the necessity argument for a TC...your logic is flawed nevertheless.
According to you, any foreigner who comes to north Cyprus and posts on this forum is promoting something illegal? Get real man. You don't know if that person is actually living on a GC land. Even if they do, they're not advertising it and asking people to do the same...Your logic goes like this: Gambling is illegal in the south (for example) and hence anyone who gambles in the north cannot post on the forum since they're promoting something illegal. It really makes sense..... |

oops - where are my manners ?
Hi Neeyt and welcome to the forum.
I live in Kyrenia, having been born and having lived my whole life in the UK upto 2.5 years ago. If you like please do drop me a line - via pm here and I'll give you my number here. I and my partner would be more than happy to try and help you establish new friends in the north.
Piratis I did have a comment to your post, but this section of the forum is NOT (imo at least) the place to make your political points, so I will decline from adding to this. |

Metecyp,
This person said he is moving to Kerynia (not visiting). I simply said that if 1)he is not a TC and 2) he bought a GC land, then his actions were illegal.
The laws of RoC apply to the whole island. You might not respect them, but I am sure this forum does.
If he is a TC or the land he bought is not a GC land, then absolutely no problem. |
