I tried all three as well, in fact I have to add another ISP as well, OTENET.

I was only displeased with CYTA, but on the whole OTENET and cablenet were good companies, I changed over because of price and speed. PrimeTel was too expensive for what I needed it for, so I did not go with them, but I used there services at work.

CableNet give TV with their internet for a better price. CableNet is private, it's owned by several big business men in Cyprus. Both Cablenet and PrimeTel use AEK poles, neither of which is owned by AEK, they pay rental on those telephone poles.

Having said this, I know all services fairly well, and I feel I am more than qualified to give my opinion with a level of accuracy which would be useful to a consumer.

http://www.cablenet.com.cy, the prices are listed there. The recently reduced their 10mb/s connection.

I don't know what to tell you, I know CableNet is the best. If I can't convince you otherwise then there is little I can say.

I think the person you spoke to in CableNet might have been an idiot, you get them everywhere, even in SpiderNet. The contract you signed should have stated the price you are paying anyway.

Personally I think you should reconsider with CableNet as their service is the best in Cyprus. I did notice that their English was weak, so this might be the cause of your communication problem.

The prices for business services are not published there and despite getting an email telling me about the speed upgrade, when I called to ask them why I hadn't got it they told me it didn't apply to business customers who pay a lot more!

darn! Sorry to here that, I apply normally, I did not demand any business lines, so the prices are what you see on the website.

i would also advice for cablenet. i have used all the providers and i the moment i'm using cablenet and primetel. just cause i'm too bored to take them the modem back

in regards to price cablenet is the best at the moment the offer a 5mb connection with 39 euros. still expensive to what my bro is paying abroad

in terms of stability i never had any real problems apart from some hours. i get the max connection bandwidth when downloading and i have the lowset ping i ever had with any provider. usually stable 18-20 and some times it goes to 16 which is WOW

my main concern is the office hours that they dont offer 24h support, but apart from cyta no one does it

I told you Cablenet support sucks.

One of my phone lines wasn't working, so a rang the support line and told them about the problem. They asked me to stay on the line while they checked it out. So after about 30 seconds I got cut off because they rebooted my modem remotely without telling me. Apart from me being cut-off, any conversations on the other lines would have been cut-off as well (fortunately I was the only one on the phone). This also obviously f'd up internet activity as well.

I would have expected them to call me back to tell me what happened, but no. So I rang them again and bollocked them for not telling me what was going on and they couldn't understand why I was upset!!!

Bunch of tossers!
