Are you talking just about national forces? I think our Irish Republican brotherhood would be up there with the best of them

halil, the only side that matters is that Turkey is illegally occupying 37% of Cyprus. Fact. They are the aggressors in the region. They threaten casus belli with Greece, invade legitimate Greek airspace, try to take Greek rocks in the Aegean, bomb northern Iraq, harshly treat Kurds and Armenians, promote their military to God-like status, prosecute people that tell the truth (and in doing so "insulting Turkishness") etc. I can go on and on. You can put whatever spin on it you like, Turkey is a war-mongerer. It is a fanatically nationalistic country that occupies my island. Therefore, military action will always remain an option to remove the oppressor. I hope Turkey changes its ways before more suffer.

It makes me laugh how you can denounce war one minute, and support Turkey the next. It is in itself is a contradiction in terms!

still you are thinking onesided ..... take off your glasses and see the realities ...... Turkey will not suffer . Cypriots will suffer .....
wake up from your dreams before its late .....
we can see your writings and comments who is war mongerer or what ever it is ..................

Turkey will not suffer because Turkey is invincible. Rolling Eyes And you say I am dreaming. Do me a favour Rolling Eyes

Beyond reproach, Turkey is faultless and is indeed a peaceful nation that is dragged kicking and screaming into conflicts it does everything to avoid. Greek Cypriots should be so grateful Turkey is so peace loving, and its military does not run things, as if it did, all Greek Cypriots would be exterminated before now.

Is this the other side halil Rolling Eyes

People will see who the military occupier is. People will see the nation that elevates its military to God-like status. People know who the war lovers are. Rolling Eyes

You have it all wrong here ladies and gents, if it bravery, skill and determination that we are looking at then Afghanistan has the strongest army..seriously they have defeated Russia, they will defeat the US and its been done with inferior weapons. Throughout history many have attempted to take this seemingly defenseless nation and failed. Even Ataturk had commented on the determination of Afghani's, he said something like give me Turkish generals and Afghani's soldiers and i could conquer the world.

halil I have been to that website a long time ago. It is utter crap. Most of it goes by pure numbers alone. For example, the British Armed Forces would wipe the floor with Turkey. And yet if you read that website, you would think it would be the other way around. Rolling Eyes

I dont believe it is accurate either. Where is Vietnam?? They managed to defeat the USA occupy Cambodia and hold there own when China invaded and this all happened in the last 50 years. On paper the USA and China should have had there way. The reality is something different.

Also addFrance as another country Vietnam defeated, plus Australia, ROC,AKA Republic of China, New Zeland, Philippines, S Korea and Thailand since they all had Military forces helping the USA to no avail.

I presume your post was tongue in cheek Greekgod. If not you are seriusly misguided. Equipment yes, training and personnel no. Personnel and training has been found somewhat lacking in the last decade.

Personnel and training have been lacking the last 5 years due to the debacle in Iraq...but we now have veterans of an actual war on active duty. Their invaluable experience will bear fruit.

The strongest army on the face of the earth are "The people of the earth !"

The only problem is that they are unable to get along with each other since they allow themselves to be fooled by those that represent them.

I have never met an ordinary person who wishes to wage war, I have never met a politician who cannot find an excuse to start one. Wink
