Hi everyone

I am planing to move to South Cyprus as soon as possible but would like to gain more information first.

1: What are the job prospects for my wife and myself , neither of us can speak a foreign languge yet but are studying at home. We are aged 30 and 34 with 2 young boys ( 3 and 5) My parents will be living with us so childcare will not be a problem.

2: Any other information you may think useful please forward to me.
i.e work permits , rules for obtaining 1

3: Links to any sites that may be useful i.e. local estate agents and lawyers etc.

Just one word of advice, don't refer to it as South Cyprus, you'll get into all sorts of political arguments if you do! :lol:

P.S. I can hear Piratis' footsteps as I write

I wish you the very best of luck, we pass through Stockport every day to & from work. All I could advise is embrace the people and their customs, keep an open mind, remember it is Cyprus and Cypriot people and that a stranger is but a friend you have yet to meet. I appreciate this outlook is somewhat different to that which is prevalent around Stockport and district.
I hope you and your family have an enjoyable relocation and new life;
All the best

Hello Ian, welcome to the forums.

Do you have any preference on where in Cyprus you want to live?
Will you want to buy property or rent?
What work will you be wanting to do over here? Do you specialise in anything?

Most people in Cyprus can speak English so you won't really have any worries there.
