Disgusting stuff, give me a trip round KEO's Limassol brewery any day (except weekends when they are closed)!

Paphos is still pretty .... maybe even prettier than 30 years ago!

But then I am used to moaning Brits and realise it is their insecurities, stiff upper-lip, need to be dominated yet wanting to be in control attitude which are at the heart of the negativities we see displayed on the forum.

You can take Paphos out of the Brits but you can't take the Brits out of Paphos ... Confused

Is someone taking me out of Paphos? Confused (or are you envious I now have Cypriot I.D. as well as being a Brit Wink )
I guess I don't mind living anywhere in Cyprus ... except Larnaca (but that's just personal)

My mistake, I meant to highlight you (and your family) being British!
I will NEVER want or get a Cypriot I.D Card. Not needed, born in England and will remain English till the day I die. PROUD TO BE (no offence to any Cypriots out there)

BTW, what will Hamish be now?

What is wrong with Larnaca? I have always found it a very pleasant place to visit Confused

To large extent, I share Webbo's views but I must also say that I hate nationalism, patriotism and all the flag waving nonsense that goes with it and with the new globalism and the EU it's all very 19th and 20th Century. It could never be a case of my country right or wrong with me.

As for the ID cards boxxxcks, I donated a small amount of money to the anti-ID card campaign here in GB a few days ago. Damned if I'll carry one of those.

Definitely agree with W. that Larnaca is great, still retains something of the feeling of a Cypriot town when you walk just a few yards away from the Promenade (Finikouthes) especially when you walk in to the tr. quarter behind the mosque (or is it tekke?) and the shops thereabout.
