Withdrawing from the forum for a while

Postby cannedmoose » Wed Apr 27, 2005 8:25 pm

Dear all, due to a recent rise in people like NickTheGreek in this forum unnecessarily raising my blood pressure, I've decided to step back from daily participation in the forum to concentrate more fully on my research which is at a critical stage now, until something major or of consequence is discussed. It's a shame that the level of conversation that used to take place with people like Erolz, Alexandros Lordos and others is too often today being hijacked by people who don't want a debate but a slagging match.

I'll continue to update the UK election thread daily, but otherwise I'll only drop in now and then on certain key threads.

Thanks to all those with whom I've had discussions over the past few months, it's been enlightening and very useful.

Signing off for now...

Moosey,

why withdraw that is letting the racist win and drive off the decent people, if you leave then i will follow suit and leave this forum too.

I'll miss you cannedmoose. Though I too decided to withdraw from the forum for a while; perhaps forever. I think 3 years and 2300+ posts here and several thousands on other 7 Cyprus related forums are enough for me to learn things and share my views. There's no need to repeat the same things and get the same responds from the same persons.

Bye for now. :D

BYE FROM BROTHER,

AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN SOLVING THE CYPRUS PROBLEM IN A HUMANITARIAN WAY WITH RESPECT FOR ALL.

Even if I don't know you (I'm very new on this forum) I wish all those who want to leave a very pleasant future time and perhaps the pleasure to discuss with you if you come back ... as the sea so that in the real life people move on and back on forum so why not!

Before leaving perhaps could you -or others - give me - even by MP - the name of others forum talking about Cyprus (in English) because I am interested in knowing a lot about this country where I will move for my job. Thanks in advance.

I really don't see what "leaving" achieves, to be perfectly honest. It's easy enough to ignore offensive threads and enjoy the rest of the forum as it's meant to be enjoyed, why make the song and dance like this? :?

That's just my opinion. I wish you well

Brother, I don't care about arguing with you but after what you sent me, a message that promoted rape among other things, how can you honestly claim to have any kind of moral high ground?

Others if you don't believe me, ask Hazza, I gave him my username and password and he checked my message inbox for himself. What I posted was what Brother sent to me.
