Before I spend the better half of the day BBQ'ing souvlakia and "sampling"a little KEO waiting for the boys in blue to begin another tournament, I give you my prediction.
Hellas 2 Sweden 1
HEllas to progress to Quarterfinals where they will be beaten by Holland.

Greece has had good sucess before. Why feel embarrased.? My money is on Greece tonight, so there. I was delighted with the Italian result
I love backing the underdogs, except our neighbours. Just like the Eurovision Song Contest.
Seriously they can and will. Its a pity they will not get GRs support. |

They're a better team than 4 years ago but then so is Russia, Holland and Portugal. The problem is that the HELL group (C) will be in their path in the quarterfinals so it will be either Holland, Italy or France (Romania didn't look to bad either)
GR has nothing to do with Greece, he's a distant cousin of the Chirokitians. |

That is what I was infering to. I thought Portugal was disappointing. With Deco and Ronaldo I expected a rout. Their finishing was not that good.
As you say Romanis surprised me (pleasantly). I did not approve Henry leaving AFC - he didnot play anyway). Holland were great.
I expect Spain to do very well. I hope Greece does not disappoint me (even though my forecast was generous.)
Turkey are in the wrong place. Olympic diving championships have not yet began. |

I predict 1-0 Greece to win. I hope Charisteas can still score. He didn't score much since 2004. I don't like the GEEKas guy. I hope he doesn't start tonight. |

If you don't like the top Bundesliga scorer you'll like his goals instead. |
