Erolz,

What do you think the punishment for GCs should be for those 10-15 years that you accuse them?

What do you think the punishment for the Turks for the centuries of oppression and the 30 years of occupation should be?

10-15 years VS centuries + 30 years. Who should be punished more?

Turks, the virgin Maries

Thank you erol.

I really like the first two. I'm glad the fact that the preisdent of a democratic republic was a frieken religious leader was critisized. How ludicrous is that? Not even Israel resorts to that.

As for the last one where Makarios is hiding behind the UN shooting fire well its quite sad that the situation was reversed literally back in 1996 (or 97?) when that GC was shot at point blanc right in front of UN "peace troops"

What are you talking about Piratis? A user of the forum asked for more political cartoons and I provided them. So why all these questions ??? You are making out that I chose to post these cartoons as some kind of attack against GC - I did not. I was asked to post them and I did. If you want to ask these questions then just make a thread in the appropriate place and ask away - that to me would seem the approtiate behaviour.

It's sad the situation was reversed but not sad it happened in the first place? Also do not forget in your 'comparision' that what the UN failed to stop was a single murder in 96, what they failed to stop in 64 onwards was a systematic killing of and oppressing of TC by GC (and visa vers to a much smaller degree). Actually this last one is my personal 'favourite'. To me it sums up what was going on in this period - that Makarios invited / allowed UN forces into Cyprus not to protect innocents from murder but to help GC attack TC whilst holding Turkey at bay - thats just my personal opinion of course.
