Is the Cyprus forum becoming just like the Republic of Turkey? Two extremely democratic threads were just locked where the members were invited to discuss the prospect of exercising their democratic free will and voicing their concerns and also having the opportunity of electing a moderator that actually moderates the real culprits that pollute the forum with nothingness and disgusting drivel.

Personally, this is another example of democracy being silenced, just like we see in Turkey.

The forum is not a state. It is privatively owned and run.

If you want to change something in the way the forum is run then please contact me with your suggestions/complaints via a private message. I am always open to suggestions.

Keep in mind however that there is no such thing as "better for all". Any decision is bound to sutisfy some and dissatisfy others. In the end it is up to you to decide if you like the forum and you want to visit or not.

Thank you, and please do not start any more such topics. Send your suggestions/complaints to me via a PM.

I am the number one fan of Cyprus Forum. Very Happy

How about we all say what we like about it to redress the balance?

Sure there are alternatives, but CF, like Cyprus is multicultural, tolerant, a heady mix of a plethora of interesting subjects.

And just as we know all too well from those moaning Brits, Rolling Eyes ... there are a number of less savoury aspects ... just as there are a number of less savoury forumers.

But on the whole, just like Cyprus it's the best by far! ... Cool

I'd rather pay an annual membership fee and be under a more democratic environment... Sad

For better or worse, friends of GR can use this...

It was a bit undemocratic the way those threads were locked. Just because Miltiades butted in and posted the most offensive post in those threads and threatening GR at the same time, does not mean that we should be punished as well. Rolling Eyes

And I hadn't managed to finish modifying mine on the other thread.... before it was locked, leaving my post too taciturn Rolling Eyes ... as well as giving the wrong impression that I have something against Turks Wink

Typing as fast as I can before this gets locked.

I was going to say in the locked mod. thread that Lana is great and irreplaceable and would nominate this marvelous lady.

As the admin said this forum is privately owned and moderated. GR and Bafidi have for some time been trying to silence Miltiades to no avail. Why has moderation become an issue on GR's and Bafidi's agenda now? NO ONE has the right to silence anybody!

Question for GR and co. : What makes you the authority on Patriotism and Treason?
