OK, for us poor mortals who cannot speak Greek (I could manage 'Koumbare'!) what is the joke(s) or do they not translate well?

To those not in Cyprus currently let me just say we have had the most wonderful weather for the Holiday and cloudless skies today.

I've read it somewhere recently:

Church/Religion to Faith is what Police is to Law - human organization to a higher idea. It tries to keep things right, but fails more often than it should ideally.
