It was 1967/68 and summer time.
The venue was a place called Haytor Rock located on Dartmoor in Devon. Rumour had been flying about an intended Love in..?
Along with two mates on our motor bikes we decided to sus it out. We were 17/18 year olds.
Do what..? The stories were true alright..!
Never took drugs in our lives..but there you got high without trying. Put a whole new twist on the term passive smoking.
Well we came away in the early hours of sunday morning agreeing that..Those London maids sure were friendly..! An eye opener for sure for us devon country lads.
It was a unanimous decision by the three of us..If they run another one here we definitly want to attend..!
Got back to our parked two wheeled pride and joys and were slightly miffed to say the least..Some swines had nicked our crash helmets..!
So much for flower power and love..
