| Its really strange being a Brit in Limassol, you might miss the party scene altogether and end up thinking the tourist area is it as far as nightlife is concerned. Get some local friends however and you'll find a treasure trove of hidden bars and clubs that you never knew were there! Cote D'Azur Bar on the seafront opposite McDonalds is so amazingly beautiful it took my breath away and the music was great, followed by dancing in Retro in the old town till 5am, I felt 18 all over again! Anyone been to these places or care to tell me of more hidden venues? |

Thank you Cypriotatheart. I will try to find it. Is Irini Street the one that runs into the Troodos Road?
We love to dance, so if anyone knows good bars or nightclubs let me know. Still going to Cote D'Azur. It's our favourite so far and the seafood next door in Kyanh Akti (spelling?!) is always good -right on the seafront too so great view. A very traditional Cypriot place.
Also we love Cleopatra Lebanese Restaurant - always good food and a great atmosphere at weekends with Belly dancer, etc.
Let me know of other hidden suprises we havent discovered yet. |

Irini Street is the continuation of the road which turns into town by the Sponge Exhibition, going pass the castle and then at the cross roads go straightover and you are in Irini Street. Just pass the next small cross roads the taverna is on the right hand side. (If you turn left at the first cross roads you would find Mikri Maria, a lovely restaurant - or if you turn right you are in St. Andrews Street. Remember you can only turn right on foot!!!
Irini Street then continues up towards Makarios Ave and the Troodos Road.
Happy hunting in Limassol. |

Michael's in Erimi village is a great place to eat - but not if you are a vegetarian! It is a small and very friendly run taverna, which is always full of locals, ex-pats and tourists!
Michael does one of the best 'meat mezes' around and at extremely cheap prices! You just help yourself to the beers out of the fridge - which are counted at the end of your meal! He also serves wine which is from a local village - also cheap!
If you stay till the end Micheal always entertains with his fine playing of the bazouki!
Booking is recommended anytime of the week!
BTW, I know this is not music and dancing as such, but I thought you may like to eat too! |

| I agree with this being an excellent taverna. Nothing like a meze in the tourist areas, the local one is far superior. |
