...........will be my life in Cyprus if I earn about 300punds per months and don't pay for my place?
Tell me someone if that's OK or it's very hard living.
Actually I'm going to work in a hotel and get this salary. Thay provide me living and probably some meals. Could I have some savings?

Thanks in advance[/b]

Hi Alpenrose,

well, if you do not need to pay for accomodation and not for all your food, you can live on 300.
If you'll be able to save any, depends on your style of living..... Smile
(i.e. shopping, going out, buy a car etc etc)

btw, your name sounds german. Alpenrose means rose of the alps in German

A pint of beer will cost you on average around 1-2 Cyprus pound in a pub. Visiting a club with entrance fee plus the costs of drinks can be around 10-15 pounds on average depending on the night club and the number and type of drinks you will have!

You may also need to know that most employees in Cyprus receive a 13th bonus salary , so will this be the case with you as well? If this is the case and considering that you will have your accomdation and meals paid by your employer then it is not too bad.

Also getting some more information on your employer will help! There are big hotels that are listed on the Cyprus stock exchange and some smaller owned privately by individulas that are not listed.

With 300 pounds and free accommodation as a single you can expect to live quite comfortably.
However you will not manage to make any significant savings unless you only spent your money on the absolutely necessary things (in this case forget about clubbing every weekend).

You will be doing better than most here if you make £300 and don't have to pay any bills!

The salaries here are a joke! Welcome to the dark ages!

You sound quite pissed of with cyprus, in another thread you agreed with visitor69 and on this thread you call it the dark ages.
Would you like to talk about it, it may help.
