Greek Cypriot Orthodox Church archbishop II. Hrisostomos said: ‘we must not be afraid of the partition’ in TV programme on the Greek Cypriot State channel RIK.
II. Hrisostomos stated that the Cyprus Problem is not a problem between the Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots and it must be understood that it is a geopolitical problem. II. Hrisostomos added that the politicians are talking about partition a lot but he believes that it is not something fearful because there is nothing proposed better and he underlined that the Annan Plan was much worst than the current situation although everyone is shouting as the current situation is not a solution. II. Hrisostomos said that the Greek Cypriot People rejected the plan because it was worst than the current situation and asked ‘will I accept a worst one if they propose?’

Good to find consolation. Exclamation Laughing Laughing Laughing PARTITION PARTITION TRNC FOR EVER.

I completely agree with the Archbishop. The Annan Plan was worse than the current situation, and yes, we should not be afraid of partition. Personally, I would accept an 82/18 formal partition tomorrow. It is common sense, 50% control over 100% of Cyprus (which is what we are offered by Turkey) or 100% control over 82% of Cyprus. No brainer.

The only future the G/Cs did offer the T/Cs is second class citizenship in their own conuntry.

Now permanent PARTITION .

What next?

You got it all wrong.

75% ROC
0% UK
25% Turkish province

If that's what you want good luck! There is no future for the "TRNC". It will die sooner or later. Smile Wink Razz
