Great pictures!
Is this exclusively a cats and dogs picture show, or can any animal join in? |
please share whatever animal you want to show us. |
Oh well, if you insist GG..
My family don't have a dog, or a cat but we do have the cutest rabbit thanks to my younger sister...
His name is Teddy or Bouloukoui in Greek, and he's the most sweetest and friendliest rabbit, not to mention the cleverest!
Here's another picture of him chilling under his hutch. A Hutch that he doesn't really use anymore as we felt so sorry for him out in the cold during the winter, that we brought him in and he's ended up staying. He's now become what's commonly called a 'house rabbit' and he's house trained and everything! See, I told you he was smart..
Now I defy anyone to make an original and good stifado (Cypriot Rabbit stew) joke, because I'm pretty sure I've heard them all!
(I apologise for the size of the pictures...) |

natty,
thanks for sharing! as long as Ray M. stays away from this thread, we're ok!
that IS one cute rabbit! i had rabbits too when i was a teenager.
i am really glad that my birthday thread ended up being a "share a photo of your pet" thread! i couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift. |

GG (and all of you who love the cold) - its snowing down heavily now. I'm off to bed. I love waking up to a still white world, sound muffled by the snow, and just a few bird prints across the snow. Saturday and no work, so I can hunker down, keep warm and be cosy.
Pussy cats cosied-up in their 'beds' too.
Night all. |
It's snowing in Paphos?? |
Good un Niki mou!
I would have replied earlier but I was not on-line! No need now! |

I know.
I've been going through so much with my family. Think I briefly told you last time we spoke. I'll tell you all next time we speak properly... |

Perhaps if Natty will oblige you could have a special Birthday meal:
50g (2oz) Butter.
2 tblsp of Oil.
1 Spanish onion, peeled and diced.
75g (3oz) Streaky bacon, rinded and chopped.
1 clove of garlic, crushed.
1.5 kg Rabbit, jointed.
Seasoned flour.
300ml Red Wine.
300ml Stock.
Bouquet garni.
12 Prunes (if liked).
Salt and Pepper.
TO SERVE
Springs of Parsley and Croutons.
Serve with brussel sprouts and creamed potatoes.
METHOD:
Melt the butter and oil in a large saucepan and add the vegetables, bacon and garlic. Fry gently, stirring until pale brown.
Transfer the vegetables and bacon to an ovenproof dish using a slotted spoon.
Dip the rabbit joints in the seasoned flour, fry them in the saucepan until lightly browned, then add them to the casserole.
Pour in the wine and stock, add the bouquet garni and prunes and cover.
Cook in a preheated oven 160C, 325F, gas mark 3.
Remove the rabbit joints to serving dish and keep warm. Check the sauce for seasoning, remove the bouquet garni and pour the sauce over the rabbit. |
