Miltiades, will you stop teaseing me, I can only see few respectable intelligent people on CF, and i must admid you are the one of them because of that you have my respect, but this does not mean you can interfere with my doings.
This avatars on CF are for use, if you must know i use this only because i am Turkish Cypriot instead would like to use TRNC flag if i can get one on CF until then i will continue with Turkish flag. After all we owe Turkey our existence in Cyprus. I would NEVER EVER use RoC flag for me that is no different then EOKA flag, i have very bad memorable hard times end of 1963 in K. Kaymakli (Omorfida) i was prisoner under that flag of yours at age of 12 brave Nikos Sampson's prisoner of war. Before that i was Cypriot soon i realize Cypriot nation does not exist nothing more then a fairy tale, so i became PROUD TURKISH from Cyprus.

Hi.... Repulsewarrior nice to read wise post, Turkey can not be blame for intervention, but can be blame for takeing only %37 of the island under control, if Turkey without stop had take whole Cyprus do necessary, safeguard the future of island, restore Cyprus republic and be done with it would have been much much better then today. But unfortunately self-interest always takes priority. |

So you were twelve in 1974 you were born in 1962. So what was your mother when she had you 53 when she had you??? You did state your mother lived through the Armenian Genocide. |

There are many proud T/Cs on this forum , a few I have also met and call them my friends , we share one thing in common and that is our love for our country , not Greece and not Turkey but Cyprus.
Let me remind you that on this forum I have challenged many who were using the Greek flag , my argument on this issue is that in order to live peacefuly on this island as G/Cs , T/Cs and others we must first embrace the nation of Cyprus , North , South , East and West as Cypriots , in order to do that we must respect each others concerns and address those issues that are causing division and unrest.
The Turkish flag , to the overwhelming majority of Cypriots represents the flag of the occupier of a part of Cyprus , remember of course that the ENTIRE world community reaffirms that Turkey IS occupying a part of Cyprus , the flag of nation that is currently engaged in overseeing the annihilation of the Turkish Cypriot and the replacement by Anatolian mainly Turks.
Our two leaders are engaged in discussions primarily as Cypriots not as Turkish and Greek.
You Mr Soyer is sending a message to the moderates amongst us that YOU DO NOT BELONG ON OUR ISLAND , the same applies to those whose allegiance is with Greece .
I can not embrace you as a Cypriot Turk because the message you are sending is that you are part of the marauding army who invaded my nation .
As far as atrocities are concerned , the instigators were the extremists flying foreign flags and wanting to give our nation away , they failed and so will those who now aspire to have part of our nation annexed to a foreign country for they shall too fail.

do you know the mixed village Pyla (PİLE) that only Turkish and Greek flags can be used .You can not use ROC or TRNC flags .
is'nt it strange for all of us .
it's means up to solution we can have these confusions .People are have to show themself with their own symbols nothing to scare or blame them .
we all free to express our self Turkish Cypriot , Greek Cypriot or Cypriots .
for me i would like to express my self as a Turkish Cypriot . İ don't think there is a danger for others the way what i believe . |

Halil , you know my views perhaps more than others. What divides our people is Greece and Turkey. Our leaders are about to decide a very important issue , one identity and one nation .
The entire Cyprus conflict erupted not because Cypriots were in conflict with Cypriots , but because Turks were in conflict with Greeks.
We are on this island together , our allegiance has to be to this island , it does not mean that we DENY our relationship with either Greece or Turkey but it does mean that we strengthen our commitment to ONE nation and one people , the Cypriots. |
