Young Indian woman employed by a Greek Cypriot here in Cyprus.
He tells her in order to keep her job she must have sex with him.
She gets pregnant.
He kicks her out.
She returns to India...pregnant.
Her own family kill her.
Have spoken to an Indian on this subject. I quote.....
"Oh yes they will kill the girls..they bring shame on the family you see. India is not like England sir." |

There are many good things about the culture but this is one of the aspects I can't understand - 'Honour Killings'. My friend who is from Pakistan had an arranged marriage with a cousin who she had never met and when the ceremony was over she hated him and the life. She having been brought up and educated in the UK and he being from a traditional Pakistan family.
Her parents had to get her out the country undercover as his family had set out to kill her because of the shame.
The git of a Cypriot however should have his b***s cut off! |

Still hearsay. Whats your point posting it?
Backwardness takes many forms. Look at the epidemic of knife murders among teenagers in London recently. Does the UK deserve a blanket description of "backward"? |

The subject is honour killings...not other crimes such as stabbings in London...or anywhere else. |
