No problem.

Some of the 'newcomers' to the forum do seem to be getting a bit of a hard time recently but I'm sure you'll be able to hold your own.

Hope you have a long and enjoyable stay on forum

Hello darling Richard .... Wink

I can vouch for your credentials! Cool

One of the best, and a sound egg!

Pip-pip

.... from a scrambled egg Laughing

Oracle welcome back , I'm pleased you have returned . Really missed you !

Bubble"n"squeak , he must be a Greek Laughing , people in the North are indeed very friendly and hospitable just as all Cypriots are. I have not met any settlers but I'm sure they are also hospitable humans .
The difference between North and South isn't so much the people but the complex political realities that no one can deny. The "TRNC" is not a nation recognised internationally , it is considered by the UN and the EU as an integral part of the RoC under occupation by Turkey . Properties sold and bought by Brits are more than likely to be properties belonging to G/Cs , this not to say that there are no pre 1974 T/C owned properties which fetch considerably more money than those illegally usurped from the G/Cs.
Life can be fun and thoroughly enjoyable in any part of Cyprus .

Welcome to the forum Bubble and Squeek.
Before deciding where to live, please visit both sides. Cyprus in its entirety is beautiful in its own way. Should you decide on the North just make sure you buy a 'legal' property. Ask for a pre-1974 Deed property, so as to avoid any complications in the future. However these properties are rare and more expensive. Greek Cypriot owned preperties in the North are usually much cheaper. Seek good advice from a local lawyer.

Enjoy Cyprus

Regards

DA
