Exactly!

As our apologies are seen by GCs as not being sincere and unnecessary or not serving any purpose in acknowledging one anothers suffering, I feel insulted at this stance and the inhumane cold response by GCs so I do hereby withdraw my apology.

I have just read the entire thread more carefully. My congratulations to brother. His approach to the whole issue is genuine and does set an example to all of us.

Alexandre, you wrote:

Also, our own generation carries a lot of responsibility, GC and TC, because we have not worked hard enough to promote a solution, and instead we have been wasting our time in self-justification, each side trying to convince the foreigners that the other side is "the bad one".

My question is, how many opportunities has our generation had to seriously promote a solution? If anything we still have a President from the 1960's. And as you know, in Cyprus no one ever resigns, so.....

othello, what your saying makes no sense. No one resigns but people are elected. So thus the current policys are the peoples will. So you cannot blame the people in power for the current status.

If you read from the top you will see this was brothers thread and that idea was that we apologized to each other in acknowledgement of suffering our communities had caused each other in the past, a way of acknowledging reconciling that both communities fucked up but as you can see not one GC other than Alexandros responded with a human like approach, thats what sicked by the GCs calculated and cold response i called them animals and withdrew my apology which they do not want or deserve.

Yes it was a general apology acknowledging and trying to reconcile the fact that both communities have suffered due to the actions of the other, no specific event or actions.

When you are a politician and you pass the age of 70 and when you have provenly nothing to offer then to me this means that it is time to go home. That is when you resign! You are right of course in the sense that these people have not imposed themselves on anyone and that they have been democratically elected. Nevertheless....

.....but as you can see not one GC other than Alexandros responded with a human like approach, thats what sicked by the GCs calculated and cold response i called them animals and withdrew my apology which they do not want or deserve.

Yet Alexandros was not exempted from being called by you an "animal".
