Forgive me for saying so but you lot are useless (apologies to those who have tried to help). So far I can ask for a beer, say thank you and tell the barman I love him
For the first time in many years we will also be travelling from the Free Areas to Paphos District. Will we need to get our passports stamped/visas? Can any member recommend a phrase book to translate from Cypriot Greek to Paphitian Greek please? |

Hi Bill
I have compiled a short list of expressions, which should enable you to communicate with anyone in Paphos and Peyia; I am sure there are plenty more:
'Ow yer going, my kid?'
'Douw cum from Burmingam?'
'Cor blimely, luvaduck'
'Ave yer got a lite, Boy'
There are a few people who speak some foreign language here, but I doubt you will meet any
I must warn you, you will also see many female holidaymakers, walking around; figure by Baywatch, face by Crimewatch!

With proper punctuation marks that would read "The crescent is light". Brilliant Kurupetos. |
