Oh dear, I appear to have caused some offence with my previous post. I had hoped those individuals who could understand them would take them more humourously (hence suggestions for usage) but I can see that this was not the case.
Unfortuntely I can not edit or remove my post but will PM Admin and Lana and ask for a deletion.
I apologise wholeheartedly to those that took offence and send the warmest of fuzzies to those that did not. |
Magnus, you have touched my heart. Now you are ripping it out. I did not translate for the ADMIN. I lied (apologies to L---). Too hot to handle, it was. |
I have sent PMs to both Lana and Admin to apologise and ask for a deletion of the post and further references to it.
Although it was not my intention to offend, I think it only good practise if we all show a bit of good 'Netiquette' and am always happy to apologise if necessary.
For those that are interested, here are the core rules of Netiquette:

Of course, further information can be found on Wikipedia and thorugh your search engine of choice. |
Apology accepted magnus dear, although I didn't know what the words meant!! We often try and coax our Turkish teacher to "spill the beans" on a few naughty words - but she wont budge!! The "worst" phrase she ever told us was "Eşek kafılı" (donkey head, I believe) which is probably the most appropriate for some of the drivers here!!! |
Under the correct circumstances,'esek kafali' can be a term of endearment. Your teacher was indeed a prude. |
I think she is a lot more lively than she makes out!! She is stunningly beautiful and is in the national Turkish Cypriot folk dancing group - she also does salsa competitions. |
Agreed, but in Cyprus, i believe teachers are proud people and are the keepers of our childrens morals too. I love her. |

Thank God I managed to send all the documents I had to finish last night.
Unfortunately I fell asleep today and I missed one of my appointments. My mum said that she let me sleep a bit more since she heard that I stayed up until late.
Thought i have another one that I have to send today so I will be on the computer one more night or should I say morning.
How are you Deniz? Nasilsin Deniz? (I keep on topic too ) |
