I have postponed my response as I found this quite a difficult choice - ie just the 5!  So I just went for those I feel have made a difference to me!
Here goes;
Firstly and foremost, my female friends for their constant companionship, humour and understanding on a daily basis - Tess, GG, Niki, Lena  Thanks girls, you make me soooooooooo proud and happy
Then, in no particular order:
Purdey - for his no nonsense and well balanced comments
Deniz - for being a gentleman, his one-liners and a 'games' fiend!
Miltiades - for being so 'pro Cypriot' in such diverse times
Lana - for her wicked sense of humour
I do not frequent the Cyprob pages enough to comment, so sorry in advance for that guys!

Listen Boy , you have a lot of growing up to do and just in case you feel that you are more of Cypriot than Im let me put you straight right now . I love Cyprus more than I love either my family , my grandchildren , my wife or anyone else . My love for my country has no bounds and it has no boundaries , North South East or West , Cyprus is my country , T/Cs , Armenians, G/Cs ARE MY PEOPLE.
Dont you ever question my motives , I'm my own man I stand up to anyone and my views are my own , I have no trouble in visiting the occupied part of Cyprus , my T/C compatriots have no problem shaking the hand of a true Cypriot that does not for one second recognise the division of my beloved Cyprus .
In my familly there exists a T/C , married to my sister in laws sister , a wonderful man and a true Cypriot .

I still stand by what I have said, and you can like it or lump it.
I don't trust these people as far as I can throw them, and they say THEY want safe guards FFS. I guess having one of them in the family must limit what you can and can't say, you just never know whos watching  |

P, having one in the family does help to understand the other side , plus he is a 100% true Cypriot who loves his country .His chlidren are first cousins to my brothers children , they are the new UK Cypriots who have not been indoctrinated and harbour no hate for either side .
Give me call tomorrow , I will be in Limassol on 99 84 80 98.
Might need your services in renting a flat out !!

After Lala Mustafa Pasha finished skinning Marco Antonio Bragadin alive, he surveyed Cyprus, liked what he saw and decided he was 100% Cypriot .....

The fact that the beautiful St. Nicholas Cathedral was converted to a mosque is worrying enough... no respect at all for Christianity and/or historical buildings. And naming the mosque after this barbarian monster... it's like twisting a knife in the open bleeding wounds of Christians while pissing on their mothers' graves.
I wonder what the muslim world would do if the GC's decided to turn Hala Sultan Tekke into a church? Or worse, perform some land development the Turkish way... demolish Hala Sultan Tekke and set up a block of luxury villas for Brits with fat bank accounts?
Not that I would condone such despicable behaviour. Tekke is a really nice place and I really hope it will stay that way forever. It's important to respect other religions, their holy places and historical sites and buildings in general. |
