Hi

Having recently been to Protaras this summer, I was very impressed with the King Louis Nausicaa apartments in Protaras. Since my return, I have searched in many brochures and on the internet to try and find out how I could stay there next year but it doesnt seem to be available to UK tourists. Does anyone know how I could book to stay there or is it only available to Scandinavian tourists?????????????

I reckon you can book an apartment straight from the hotel website and then get yourself a regular flight down to Larnaca, ie no package deal.

Those staying at King Alkinoos, next to Nausicaa (even a bit closer to Fig Tree Bay Beach) can use the facilities of Nausicaa since they are in the Louis group as well.

I know for a fact that UK tourists have stayed at the specific apartments but you are right it is more geared for scandinavian tourists. Have you tried calling them directly or booking through their website? http://www.louishotels.com/hotel_CYP_PRO-LNAB_Louis_Nausicaa_Beach.html

Many thanks for the information. I have tried direct with the hotel but they will not take direct bookings and advise I need to book through a tour operator

Try this then: http://www.thomson.co.uk/destinations/europe/cyprus/larnaca-region/protaras/hotels/hotel-louis-nausicaa-beach.html

Thompson, part of TUI AG of which the major Scandinavian tour operators having Nausicaa on their 'menu' are part of as well.

Good luck!

You could try Sterling Tours in the UK.
I have used them previously but haven't heard from them recently so they may not be around anymore.

They used to be in the Eclipse Direct holiday brochure a few years ago (Eclipse is the direct booking part of First Choice Holidays plc).

It sounds like a Scandinavian company have probably contracted all the rooms for the season.

The only way would be to find out if there is a Scandinavian tour operator in there and see if you can make a booking direct with the tour operator.

It's very unusual for a hotel to turn rooms down to a direct customer as they get a better rate that way than selling the rooms to a tour operator. So the only reason I can think they have done this is because a tour op has bought all their rooms, then the hotel isn't allowed to sell any rooms out of that allocation.
