These are living, breathing animals you wish to bite, chew and swallow Shocked

Doesn't have to be meat, O, one of mine was Sri-Lankan breadfruit curry, have you ever tried it? Its pretty tasteless on its own but has the adaptability to take on lots of flavours either sweet or savoury and it has the texture of meat. Ideal for a veggie I would have thought............

I was once involved in a plane crash in the Himalayas. Six of us survived but were trapped in the freezing cold for two weeks waiting for help. After three days I couldn't take the hunger anymore and ate Captain McReedy. He was a bit tough but not too bad.

I also once ate a Pot Noodle. About halfway through I started to wish I still had a bit of Captain McReedy left Wink

Magnus, I am absolutely HORRIFIED that you could even joke about such an atrocity!!!!!!!!!!

What a coincidence... Yesterday when talking a walk with my youngest daughter I stumbled across two of those plants growing right beside the paved road. Pretty big ones, but they had no buds... so there was no point in cutting them down in order to capitalise on my finding. Wink Laughing j/k

Pot in a pot ha ha haaa.

I suppose you have read Nasreddins Hocas' 'Pot in the pot' story.

I'd rather just admire the beauty of the plant. I dont even smoke never mind the pot. I am mad enough without mind altering chemicals. Laughing

It's potentially unhealthy to compete with the Vietnamese grow-ops in London. Wink Laughing

Also, you don't want the Old Bill to see such an exotic plant in your window. Even if it's a 'bird seed hemp plant' with only 0.2% THC or less I reckon it's still illegal.

However, no matter what people think of its psycho-active qualities, it's actually a beautiful plant to look at. And I strongly believe it will get a significant role as a medicinal plant (once again) some day in the future.

I think the most unusual that I eat cos I like it is the old Cypriot favourite (or otherwise) derachia (carob). You either love it or hate it.
