Glad for you guys but indifferent otherwise. I don't wish the boys any harm if that is what you mean. I might even go and wave some TRNC flags if they do well........NOT!!!!!!

Just wondering, cause if there's a solution this year as talat says then considering the catching up tc players need to do...this team as it stands today will probably be your national team.

Speaking for myself, if i had a choice i would probably rather play for Turkey than a reunified Cyprus. Just my opinion

I think it would be our duty to play in a "CYPRUS" team if a solution is found

To be honest with you I am not much of a football fan but one of those that gets excited when Turkey or England do well. I have even rooted for the Scots and Whales on occasion....So I don't know how well our boys in the TRNC are doing...Not being able to play in the world arena....We might even have a few players that will make the team straight away for all I know.....What would be your reaction to that??? What about the qualifiers in an all TC team????

In a united Cyprus, may the best player make it to the squad. I doubt any tc's will make it in the next 4-5 years though (maybe 1-2) since most of the boys playing now have been playing in mostly stronger foreign leagues (Bundesliga, Spanish Primera, Ukraine, Greece, Scotland) and most have competed in the Champions League.

Anyway, steering off this topic perhaps we could set this up in the Cyprob.

Well done to the boys again and I have a sneaky feeling they'll be playing in the World Cup in South Africa.

would you rather play under Fatih Terim and alongside turks wearing the ay yildiz or under a GC coach and alongside GC's players wearing something with hellenic origins???
to me its a no brainer.

Lets see how the talks deal with these issues and how the NEW colours will pan out.....  In a two state system we might not even have to play in any colours but our own...Just like Scotland and Whales.

I can see how the dove can scare you as a hellenic symbol. To help you out I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be called to play in either (especially Cyprus)

Zan, if you had bothered to look more carefully, the colour on the CFA emblem is not a blue one, but it is in fact the turquoise colour, the same colour the Turkish national team was wearing during the last Euro 2008 cup. So much about your Daltonism problems!!!

DT, stop it will you, any minute now and they will be DEMANDING that half the Cyprus team players HAVE TO BE Turks as part of the settlement negotiations, irrespective if they are good enough or not. We may just be labelled as racists otherwise.
